Rough & Ready: Crime Comedy Night

Following on from the sellout success of our spooky halloween short story night and lovely vday romance night, another small group of writers and comedians (line-up TBA) will once again gather in the gorgeous velvet basement of Aces and Eights to rapidly write (brave) and read (beautiful) some serious and/or funny criminal tales by candlelight.

Riffing on: Cosy crime / murder mystery / thriller / George Orwell’s Decline of the English Murder  / procedural / Agatha Christie (specifically the bit at the end where the femme fatale’s face transforms as she confesses, does not repent, and pulls out a tiny pistol) / Jonathan Creek / Nancy Drew / Disgraced NY Mayor Eric Adam’s guide to searching your teenager’s bedroom for guns which was clearly filmed in his home office

Doors 7.30pm, Show Starts 8.00pm 
Finished by 10pm, with Interval
